FTVM Student Wins Best Producer/Director in Telly Awards

Film, Television and Media student Daniel Saldaña was awarded this fall with the Silver Award for Best Producer/Director by The Telly Awards. Saldaña, along with his company Rich Captures Production, created “The Dino: A City in Focus,” a documentary about the portrayal and misperceptions of San Bernardino. Saldaña takes an introspective look into the city through the lens of local photographers, whose goal is to capture both the broken and unbroken aspects of the city. In the category of non-broadcast by a general student, this film was recognized by The Telly Awards, an organization that honors excellence in local, regional and cable television commercials, non-broadcast videos, and other television programming. Receiving over 12,000 entries from all 50 states and 5 continents, Telly Award winners represent work from some of the most respected advertising agencies, TV stations, and production companies from around the world.
