At the psychiatric technology graduation ceremony today, 23 students proudly walked across the stage to take their place among the ranks of thousands of medical professionals who have launched their careers from San Bernardino Valley College.

Graduates pose before their ceremonial procession in the SBVC Auditorium.

The stage was decorated in a dazzling holiday theme — illuminating the graduates’ smiling faces — as proud friends and family members looked on.

They had many reasons to be proud. San Bernardino Valley College’s psychiatric technology graduates have consistently ranked highest in the state on board certification exams. They also enjoy access to a robust job market that is projected to grow steadily into the foreseeable future.

Dr. Susan Bangasser, Dean of Science, congratulates the Fall 2016 graduating class of psychiatric technicians.

“One-hundred percent of our graduates who want a job get hired,” said Dennis Jackson, the program’s director.

The graduates of the Fall 2016 class are Roger Adofo, Wilfred Adu-Beng, Leila Avant, Audrey Catiesanu, Devashish Chakma, April Foster, Sabrina Henry, Miguel Heredia, Zarah Ilon, Chafic Khalil, Esha Khondoker, Darryl Khoo, Robert Lingad, Shemica Lucas, Mackenzie Martin, Christina Nampudakam, Emmanuel Njuguna, Valiant Omosor, Ashley Ranard, Genesis Rivas, Jesse Ruacho, Kevin Turangan, and Alicia Young.

Congratulations, Wolverines!

SBVC’s psychiatric technology program was founded in 1970 and graduates two classes every year.
